On New Year’s Day 2026, the team from Shanghai Silk Optical Technology Co., Ltd. journeyed to the revolutionary heartland of Jinggangshan. On this historic soil, they embarked on a journey designed for both spiritual enrichment and team cohesion. Centered on the "Jinggangshan Spirit," the event served as a bridge to strengthen unity, tempering the corporate spirit through a look back at history and injecting powerful momentum into the company’s mission for the coming year.

Walk into any modern mega-warehouse or advanced manufacturing plant today, and you will see them: Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) zipping around, dodging humans, and lifting pallets with surgical precision. The visual is incredibly futuristic, but the engineering behind it is a massive headache. Why? Because robots do not have brains that can naturally compensate for bad vision. If you take a standard, off-the-shelf security camera lens, screw it onto an AGV, and send it into a busy warehouse, that robot is going to crash into a forklift. As the demand for V-SLAM (Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) robots explodes, optical engineers are realizing that "security scenarios" and "robotics scenarios" are two completely different beasts. Here is a deep dive into why standard lenses are failing our new robotic workforce, and the strict new requirements driving the boom in non-standard, customized optical lenses.

BOSHI Optical Technology recently completed a production process training program for new employees at its factory, covering optical lens manufacturing from raw material preparation to final inspection. The training aimed to build professional teams by combining theoretical learning with practical observation across key processes like precision machining, injection molding, coating, and MTF testing. Supported by 18,000㎡ facilities and 300+ staff, BOSHI strengthens its manufacturing foundation to deliver reliable optical solutions for security, automotive, and medical applications.

CES 2026 marks a historic turning point for the global consumer electronics industry, particularly in the realm of optics and lens technology. The core logic of technological evolution has shifted: optical systems are no longer passive tools for image capture; they have evolved into the essential sensory terminals for Physical Artificial Intelligence (Physical AI), driving perception, decision-making, and interaction. As U.S. consumer technology industry revenue is projected to reach $565 billion in 2026, the breakthroughs in hardware—specifically lens and sensor technologies—serve as the bedrock for this massive digital ecosystem.
